Lemon-Aid
Simply drinking 16-24 ounces of warm water with a 1/2 a lemon (or lime), can drastically improve your health. Lemon water aids in cleansing the body and increases the production of hydrochloric acid, which helps break down your food. It is alkalizing, supports your blood sugar and makes your skin glow. Ayurveda teaches us that it is always best for our digestion to use warm water, never cold. If you are pitta dosha, have burning or reflux, swap out the lemons and use limes instead they tend to be slightly more cooling. I actually prefer limes in my water, so recommend you try both and listen to your body to see which it prefers.
